Trams and cars at the East End of Princes Street

Here is a view a busy time at the East End of Princes Street.

This view looks from Waverley towards the junction of Princes Street and North Bridge.  The single deck bus and tram in the background are turning into North Bridge.

Some of the cars are quite old, but the Morris Traveller van near the front of the queue indicates that this photograph must have been taken in the 1950s.  A few years later, all the trams in Princes Street would have been replaced by buses.
