Before attending Royston Primary School, Elizabeth Fraser attended Pilton Primary School.

Elizabeth recalls:

Chalk and Blackboards

"I remember going to Pilton School, when I was, maybe, five years old.

I even remember the teacher's name as a Miss Ritchie.  She wore her hair in 'earphones', as the hairdo was called - plaited hair in a circle.

We had yellow blackboards and purple chalk - or were we being fed some psychedelic milk?"
