Thank you to Dave McKinlay for posting a message in the Edinphoto Guestbook about his recent cycling holiday, from Edinburgh, up the west coast of Scotland then to John o' Groats and back down the east coast.

Well done Dave!  This follows on from Dave's holiday in Britain last year (2012) when he cycled from London to Edinburgh.

Question

David Forsyth

IK completed stage 2 of our epic cycle jourrneys, Edinburgh to John o' Groats via the west coast.  After completing the ride, we came back to Edinburgh down the east coast of Scotland, calling in at Lybster and Brora to catch up with a couple of ex-army mates.  One of them asked me about another Edinburgh lad who had served with us, David Forsyth."

Frosts Furnishing

"David Forsyth had worked in Frosts Furnishing shop in Shandwick Place as an upholsterer/carpet and lino layer in the late-1950s and early-1960s.  He married a girl who also worked in Frosts.

I'd love to hear from David now, as would our friends up north. We all served in the Black Watch together at Fort George, Redford and Cyprus."  If you know how I can contact David Forsyth, please email me.

           Thank you."
