The Toddle Inn

"Around 1962 to 1965, one of our favourite bacon roll spots was The Toddle In at foot of Cockburn Street.   It was a tiny triangular Café with a shelf round wall and window and high stools."

The Deacon's Den

"While working in one of my waitressing jobs in the early-1960s at the Calton Hotel, North Bridge, our place for a nighcap was the Deacon's Den in Cockburn Street, where you went downstairs into a sort of cavern where the pub atmosphere was wonderful.

Is it still there?"
