Dave wrote: 1956 The Ropery "These photos were all taken on my wife's Brownie camera at British Ropes' works, or 'Ropery' as it was known locally, in Bath Street in June 1956. Photo 1 "My wife, Jean (Jinty) Rutherford from Niddrie is on the right. Her friend, Greta, is on the left." Photo 2 "Agnes Sweeney, wearing the turban, and Cathy McLaren are in the front row (left and right). Greta is in the back row. Photo 3 "Jean (Jinty) Rutherford and Agnes are in the front row. Cathy is in the middle row. Rena (left) and Greta (centre) are in the back row." Other Names "Jinty cannot remember the names of the others in these photos, but would be grateful to have her memory refreshed if anyone recognises any of the others."
