Water Tank at the end of Arthur Street

Thank you to Bob Henderson for providing the sketch above, and for providing the following comments on two of the water tanks in Edinburgh Old Town in the 1940s.

Bob wrote:

Water Tank at Arthur Street

"There was a water tank at the top of Arthur Street but it was much smaller than the one at the church.

 The Arthur Street tank was a metal tank made from steel panels. it was about 16 feet square and four feet deep with a wire mesh cover to stop us from climbing into it.
