- Peter Stubbs:  November 17, 2008

I returned to the exhibition today, and found it open again.  However I was disappointed to find the exhibition difficult to view.  The lighting was poor, there were no captions on any of the photos, and some of the photos were displayed very close to the ground.

The Exhibition

This exhibition comprises 25 pictures of Stockbridge, covering the period from 19th century to around 1960..

Twenty of these pictures, possibly more, have been selected from the the photos, drawings and paintings of Edinburgh held by  Edinburgh City Libraries' - now digitised as 'Capital Collections'.

The Library

Stockbridge Library is one of several libraries around the suburbs of Edinburgh.  It has recently been refurbished.
