Sale of Tickets
1. MTV Awards Ceremony
It was announced today [7 Oct 03]
that there are to be 6,000 tickets for the event. It is believed
that:
- 3,000 are for performers, guests, agents
and record labels.
- 1,000 have been given to sponsors,
including American Express, Vodaphone and Foot Locker.
- 2,000 (or less) are to be offered for
sale through a special European 'hotline'.
The telephone number of the hotline for
the tickets is to be announced on MTV's programme, TRL, between
4.30pm and 5.30pm on Monday 13 October. The tickets will then go on
sale immediately and are expected to be fully sold within minutes.
The price of the tickets is to be £34 each +
booking fee. However, some London touts are already offering tickets
at £800 each.
2. Princes Street Gardens Concert
MTV also announced that arrangements on how to
obtain 8,000 free tickets for a concert in Princes Street Gardens
featuring three top bands will be announced soon.
