Permanent Visitor Centre

A new Waterfront taskforce is to be set up to help to drive forward the regeneration of Edinburgh Waterfront.  One of its priorities will be to create a permanent Visitors' Centre.  It has been suggested that:

-  The centre might be inspired by 'The Tube' - a visitor centre set up in 1991 in Cardiff Bay in 1991.

-  The Leith Visitor Centre might be located near Ocean Terminal, the Scottish Executive Headquarters or The Shore.

- The Leith Visitor Centre could house exhibitions of Leith's history and proposed future developments for Leith, Newhaven and Granton.  It would also have space to house temporary exhibits.
