A new Arts Centre, with studios, cafe and gallery
space and rehearsal and performance space, is being created in a former
Army drill hall at Dalmeny Street, Leith.
This 1901drill hall was formerly used by the
Royal Scots, then by the Territorial Army.
The hall has been acquired by 'Out of
the Blue' trust. It is being refurbished and due to be opened to
the public from summer 2006. It is already being used by more than
40 artists and creative businesses.
