Can anybody remember having seen any street lights like this in Edinburgh, either with this slogan or any other slogans?

The photo comes from the Edinburgh Street Lighting Collection of photos held at the Edinburgh City Archive, but perhaps it is an example of street lighting in London or elsewhere in Britain that Edinburgh Council was considering.

There is a printed stamp on the back of this photo that reads:

 'Fox Photos Ltd, 6 Tudor Street, London EC4.'

A hand-written note on the back of the photo reads:

'29/1/38  Bulletin'

What bulletin might this be?

Small Lamp at the Tram Stop

Here is a photograph of Edinburgh street lighting.  The small lamp beside the tram stop for this No 16 tram to Fairmilehead has some similarities to the lamp at the top of this page.
