This view looks to the SW from Princes Street.  The Police Box is in the NW corner of East Princes Street Gardens.

The National Galleries at the foot of The Mound are behind the old Police Box.

On the skyline are buildings in Mound Place and Bank Street, with the tall spire of  Tolbooth St John's Church, now The Hub, behind them.
