Snack Van

New Mart Road, Slateford

This view looks to the west along New Mart Road towards the former Corn Exchange.

The snack van arrived in this area a few years earlier to support the builders working on the new Asda Supermarket at Slateford.

The snack van has remained here, and is now parked in New Mart Road as building work has continued.  The nearby corn exchange is still standing, but no longer in use as a corn exchange.

The cattle markets in New Mart Road are now just a shell as can be seen in the background of this picture, and the land behind them is being redeveloped for housing.
