Leith Street  -  1975

Here, fire engines can be seen near the top of Leith Street, facing south, towards Edinburgh

In the background is what became known as 'The Bridge to Nowhere'.  The bridge crosses Leith Street from St James Centre to what was to be a new housing development on the east side of the street - but the housing development was never built.

Howeve the Omni Centre multi-cinema complex and an underground car park has now been built on the east side of Leith Street
