Heart of Midlothian

The 'Heart of Midlothian is a heart-shaped mosaic in the cobbled pavement close to the NW corner of St Giles Church in the High Street, part of Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

It marks the centre of the Old Town of Edinburgh, the spot where the C15 Tolbooth prison stood before being demolished in 1817.
