Location The houses on the right in this photo are in Inverleith Gardens - a short stretch of Ferry Road between the junction with Granton Road (from which this photo was taken) and the junction at Goldenacre (in the distance in this photo.) The low white garage on the left in this photois 'Millennium Motors'. The photo was taken from the upstairs of a No 8 bus travelling to the east along Ferry Road (after having been diverted along Inverleith Place and Arboretum Road to avoid the road works) as it was about to turn left into Granton Road. There was a brief shower as this photo was being taken. The rain drops can be seen on the bus window. |

Roadworks This section of Ferry Road is closed to west bound traffic from July to November 2009 to allow new gas pipes to be laid. Why does it need to be closed for so long? The southern end of Wardie Road, the first road leading to the north, about three houses beyond the white house in this photo, is also closed to traffic in both directions throughout this period. |
