Milk Deliveries

This view looks to the south up Bellvue Road towards Bellvue School, now Drummond Community High School.

This photograph was taken on January 12, 1985.  The horse in the picture is 'Ginger', 24 years old and about to be retired.

St Cuthbert's horse-drawn milk deliveries in Edinburgh came to an end two weeks later on January 26, 1985, after having operated for 125 years.
