When I took this photo at
Shrubhill Works in 1994, LRT buses were being painted using paint brushes,
rather than spray paint. The bus livery then was madder and white.
Today (in 2008) most of the
buses are painted in the new red, gold and white harlequin pattern.
There is now a 'Lothian Buses' paintshop at Seafield, still using brushes,
but the diamonds to create the harlequin pattern are stuck onto the buses. |
