George Waterston's
premises for manufacturing sealing wax, in the 1990s, were in a yard on
the western side of Beaverhall Road, opposite
Duncan's chocolate factory. The building the two-storey building
at the back of the yard in the centre of this picture.
Soon after I visited the
Waterston's sealing wax works in 1994, the yard in this photo was converted
to become a car pound to house cars removed from the streets of Edinburgh
for being illegally parked. The car pound has since moved to Leith,
beside the docks. |
