Duncan's Chocolate Factory

Leaves the Building

The view above is of the exterior the building in Beaverhall Road, Edinburgh, when it was Duncan's Chocolate Factory.

Duncans moved out in the 1990s, and The British Red Cross and a number of other companies and organisations moved in.

Hieroglyphics on Beaverhall House

"Beaverhall House, 27 Beaverhall Road, has been converted into offices and artist studios for a number of small businesses (of which I am one).

The building has hieroglyphics painted on the side and a group of us are wondering if you might know the reason for these and why they were painted?"

Reply to Alistair?

I don't know the answer to Alistair's question, but have wondered about these hieroglyphics since taking the photo above.  I've checked a couple of times on Google, but have not found any answers there.

If you know anything about them, please email me, then I'll add your reply to this page on the website and will sent a message to Alistair to let him know.
