Shortbread Biscuits Burton's Biscuits have a large manufacturing plant at Sighthill, Edinburgh. They are the largest manufacturers of Rich Tea Biscuits in Europe. Here, one of the workers can be seen beside the oven on the shortbread line. She puts the biscuits into the frames before they reach the oven on their conveyer belt. Then after they have passed through the oven, she removes the frames and uses them for biscuit further down the line that have not yet reached the oven. She has to keep up with the pace of the conveyer belt! |
