This photograph was taken from a London to Edinburgh Shuttle Flight on a dull day -  8 November 1989.

TOP:  The Water of Leith enters Leith Docks at the bridge.

EXTREME LEFT:  The western half of Albert Dock

LOWER LEFT:  Imperial Dock

UPPER RIGHT:  Victoria Dock

MIDDLE RIGHT:  Prince of Wales Dock.

Since this photo was taken, there have been some major developments in the docks, including building:

-   The Scottish Office for the Scottish Executive on the site at the extreme upper right corner of this picture beside Victoria Dock

-   Ocean Drive, a new road through the docks, passing on the northern side of Victoria Dock.
