1953 Coronation Celebrations

Thank you to George Gessey for sending me is photo of one of the girls at Dumbiedykes being crowned during the Coronation Celebrations in 1953.

George added:

"As far as I know, this picture of the Coronation Celebrations in 1953 was taken by my father who has now passed away.

 The photo was taken at the end of Prospect Terrace, either on Upper Viewcraig Row or Lower Viewcraig Row, I'm not sure which.

I was born in 1946 and brought up at 5 Prospect Terrace by my father and mother, George and Pearl.  The Jamiesons and Riddles also lived there.

I later moved to Leicester, then to Western Australia where I am now."
