"This photo was taken around 1952. It is of the Slattery family in the Meadows, Edinburgh, making an ad for shredded wheat.
There are left to right:

- my sisters, May and Patricia, myself, my brother Gerald
- my brother, John, also playing pipes
- my mum, May with my sister Josephine in her arms
- my brother Michael."
