Thank you to Stewart Gardiner for sending me this photo of Edinburgh City Police, 'A' Division, taken in 1922.  Stewart tells me that this is a crop from a very wide photo showing the whole of 'A' Division.

Stewart has an interest in the history of Edinburgh City Police, particularly the pipe band in which he played for 25 years.

The Photo

"The two men seated on the ground are Plain Clothes Officers Stanners and Campbell. The officer on the seat between them is Station House Keeper Sutherland, who was a piper in the band and retired as Pipe Major.  Unfortunately I've not identified where this photo was taken as yet.
