Dumbiedykes Bowling Club

"This was a poor quality picture of members of Dumbiedykes Bowling Club, taken around the 1920s.  I've doctored it and hope that it is now presentable.                       (Yes it is! -  Peter Stubbs)

The Bowling Club was situated to the west of Braidwood Centre.   There is now a children's play area where the bowling club used to be.

My Grandfather Andrew Wanstall is seated front-row second from the left.  He resided at 107 Dumbiedykes Road.

I like the big ‘bonnets’ some of the group are wearing. I notice that a couple of gents have something under their left armpits - perhaps a newspaper or a towel."
