Edinburgh Old Town

The old North Bridge, seen in the centre of this scene, was built 1767-82.
Behind the old bridge are Arthur's Seat (823 ft) and Salisbury Crags, both in The Queen's Park.

The old bridge was replaced by a new wider North Bridge - its foundation stone being laid in 1866.
