This photo was  taken by Eric H Sawford on his tour of railways in Scotland in 1955.

It is now one of the images held in Barry Hoper's Transport Treasury Collection.

Today

Granton Gas Works has now closed and the land is being developed as part of the Edinburgh Waterfront project.
