However, it may have operated in Glasgow.  In the back of this van is a set of scales labelled 'SCWS Ltd., Glasgow'.

The adverts are interesting:

"I believe St Cuthbert's only operated in Edinburgh.

SCWS was the Scottish Cooperatives Wholesale Society.  It bought in bulk  and subsequently sold to the individual societies.
