Here, a transformer from Parsons Peebles Ltd, East Pilton, Edinburgh is being transported up North West Circus Place, past the western end of St Stephen Street,  Stockbridge in October 1967.

"I wonder what route it took from the works, since the bridge at Pilton Drive next to the works was out of bounds to heavy loads.   That would have ruled out the most obvious route, via East Fettes Avenue."
