Bus Routes

This is one of 6 small single-decker Optare Solo SR buses delivered to MacTours (a subsidiary of Lothian Buses) in 2008.  All buses except the one used on route 61 below are painted in Lothian Buses' harlequin livery.  These buses were intended for use on the short MacTours routes:

-   Route 60 (now, in 2009, no longer operated by MacTours).

-   Route 61 (painted in Standard Life's yellow livery).

-   Route 69 (now, in 2009, extended from Portobello to Fort Kinnaird).

Here are more photos of the Fort Kinnaird terminus of route 69.

Retail Park

Fort Kinnaird is a retail park built on the site of New Craighall colliery, about 4 miles east of the centre of Edinburgh.  The retail park was initially opened in 1989 and has since expanded.
