Penicuik   -  Route 37

'Penicuik City Link'

Here we look to the west along Lyne Terrace, past the terminus of Route 37.
The Pentland hills can be seen in the background. 

Footprints

The large blue footprints that can be seen at the lower right corner of this photo are part of a series that have been painted at intervals along the pavement of Lyne Terrace and some of the surrounding streets and footpaths.

I have not heard why these were painted.  Perhaps they are to mark safe routes to school for children.
