The Route

The Newhaven route runs from Newhaven (recently extended to the new apartments in Leith Western Harbour) to Colinton, then the route continues to the foot of the Pentland Hills, with alternate buses terminating at Torphin and Bonaly.

The Terminus

The Torphin terminus is on Torphin Road, just outside the Edinburgh  Bypass, on the southern slopes of the Pentland Hills.

When I took this photo, the snow had been on the ground for a few days and there were no passengers were at the terminus.  The buses were running late so were driving straight through the terminus, rather than stopping to have their photos taken!

This view looks to the east from the foot of the Pentland Hills, towards the Edinburgh Bypass.
