The two photos above both show the former Head Office of The Standard Life Assurance Company, now an office of the company's subsidiary, Standard Life Investments.

The building is at the East End of George Street and has frontages on to:

-  LEFT:   George Street

-  RIGHT:  West side of St Andrew Square

Built 1897-1902 on the site of the company's former Head Office since 1839.
