Jewel Cottages Rob Cleary was brought up at Jewel Cottages (the cottages in the background in this photo). The cottages were on the east side of Niddrie Road (now Duddingston Park South), immediately to the north of Bingham Railway Bridge. The Jewel cottages are now demolished, and new housing has been built between where they used to stand and the Asda store, about 1/4 mile to the east. - Peter Stubbs: February 6, 2009 |
