The old railway buildings near the end of the line that approached Granton Harbour from the west are still in use.

Today

The entrance to William Waugh's scrap yard is from West Harbour Road, close to Granton Square.

However the scrap yard lies between West Shore Road and West Granton Road.  It can be seen best from West Granton Road, from which these photos have been taken:

Tomorrow?

At some stage in the next few years, this whole area is likely to be redeveloped as part of the Edinburgh Waterfront developments, with perhaps some major 'landmark building' being constructed on the site of Waugh's scrap yard.
