Edinburgh Waterfront

Granton Builders

Edinburgh Waterfront was until recently an area dominated by Granton Gas Works,  small industries, wasteland.

Granton Builders were one of the first firms to leave the Waterfront Area as redevelopment began in 2002.  The first two pictures above show the yard open on 28 July and 25 August.  The other three pictures show it closed on 6 October.

The old two-storey offices can be seen in the second photo.

The yard was situated on the northern side of West Shore Road, almost opposite Forest Crafts' yard, and a short distance to the west of the cement works in West Shore Road.
