Edinburgh Waterfront

Edinburgh Waterfront was until recently an area dominated by Granton Gas Works,  small industries, wasteland.

Here on the eastern side of the Waterfront, close to Granton Square, where the old railway line left West Harbour Road and headed for Granton Gas Works, is a sign to attract developers to the area.

The white building beside the sign is the eastern end of the Cockburn Engineering works on West Harbour Road.
