1961 Thank you to Phil Wilson, Aberdeen, Scotland for allowing me to reproduce his photograph of the floral clock in Princes Street Gardens, taken in 1961. This is the year that the floral clock commemorated the centenary of Edinburgh Photographic Society, founded in 1861. It's a pity that the lettering commemorating this centenary is not on the clock itself, but is on the banner that runs above the clock. The start of this banner is just visible on the extreme right hand side of this photo. |
