Myreside lies about two miles SW of the centre of Edinbrugh

close to the Union Canal, between Merchiston and Craiglockhart

 

Edinburgh University Playing Fields

These were on the south side of the South Suburban Railway.

They are now part of the school sports grounds for George Watson's College
