Kystvakt (W-313) at Leith Western Harbour

The Ship

'Kystvakt' is Norwegian for 'Coastguard'  The ship's name is TROMSO, a 197 ton coastguard vessel built in 1997.

The ship is seen here moored beside Ocean Terminal at Leith Western Harbour, during a courtesy visit to Leith on June 2-4, 2006

The Location

This view looks to the north from Ocean Terminal, towards the island of Inchkeith in the Firth of Forth.

The ship moored behind the coastguard vessel is the Royal Yacht BRITANNIA, now a visitor attraction at Leith.

Tugs can be seen beside the northern edge of Leith Docks, close to the dock entrance (out of picture on the right.

The coast of Fife can be seen in the distance.
