    Edinburgh Waterfront - A walk down Middle Pier, Granton Harbour - 3 August 2002 ©

It was taken on a fine day in late March, a couple of weeks before most of the yachts were to return to the Granton Harbour for the new season.

In the background are buildings built on reclaimed land in Leith Western Harbour, about a mile to the east:

-  On the right the low, brick building is the Next Generation Health Club.

-  In the centre are Platinum Point and other high-rise apartments, under construction.  The scale of the developments in Leith Western Harbour can be seen by clicking on the image below: a view from Edinburgh Castel.
