"A friend of my Father worked on
constructing the Forth Road Bridge. One Sunday afternoon he
managed to take me on a tour to the top of the bridge.
I recall walking all the way up the
catwalk to the very top. What what happened to Health &
Safety?
I think the workers from Brunton Wire
mill, who manufactured the wire, were being shown around the site at
ground level. I assume he took the opportunity to smuggle me
in."
