This photograph  was taken in 1964, with a fine summer sky.  A diesel multiple unit crosses the southern end of the Forth Rail Bridge, with the newly built Forth Road Bridge in the background.

The Forth Road Bridge was not yet open when this photograph was taken.  It opened in September 1964.
