Local riders, Abs Dixon and John Murphy compete against Carrswood, on the Davidson's Mains track, in a NACSA (National Amateur Cycle Speedway Association) event in 1967.

Thomas Lee, who provided this photo for the web site writes:

"The action here is at the 3rd bend with fence and house in the background.

That bend is now someone's garden.  A newer version of that fence is still there today."
