Cramond

Kite surfing has recently become more popular around Fife and the Lothians.  Sites include St Andrews, Longniddry, and Gullane - and occasionally Cramond.

Sailing at Cramond is best with a NE wind, but the prevailing wind is SW.  When these photos were taken, there was a good steady strong wind from the NE.

The Photo

Here is a little acrobatics in the air from one of the windsurfers.

The island of Inchcolm with its ruined abbey (left) is just visible in the background, off the coast of Fife, close to Aberdour.
