The causeway to

Cramond Island

A busy causeway linking Cramond village and Cramond Island  -  July 2006

It is normally possible to use this causeway from about 2 hrs before low tide to 2 hrs after low tide. The tide can rise and fall rapidly.
Boats can normally enter the Firth of Forth from the River Almond at Cramond, and return to Cramond, from about 2 hrs before high tide to 2 hrs after high tide.
