Unveiling Ceremony

Monument at the junction of Craiglockhart Road North and Craiglockhart Gardens
dedicated to the crew of the Wellington bomber that crashed at Craiglockhart in 1942

The Minister of Craiglockhart Church opened the ceremony at 3pm with '2 minute silence' and a prayer.
He then invited relatives of the Wellington's crew who died in the crash to unveiled the monument.

Craiglockhart View, just round the corner from the new Monument.

It was in the back garden of the house on the left,
12 Craiglockhart View,  that Wellington III bomber X3707
crashed whilst on a flight from Turnhouse, testing equipment.
