The View

This view looks to the NW along Inverleith Row towards Goldenacre.  Inverleith Row is the road that leads straight ahead on the right-hand side of this photo.

On the left is the clock at the foot of Brandon Street, showing the correct time  -  5.47pm on Christmas Eve.

In the centre of the photo, with the snow-covered roof, is the public toilet block beside the bridge over the Water of Leith, with the old Police Box beside it.

There are some brightly-lit buildings near the right-hand side of the photo.  The left hand one of these is the pub, now named 'The Orchard'.

The bridge over the Water of Leith runs under a bridge in Inverleith Row, between the Police Box and the tenements, near the right hand side of this photo.
