Thank you to Graham D Lonie (Scotty), now living and working in Antigua, Leeward Islands, Caribbean for his recollections of Newhaven Pageant in 1953.

Dressed as a Newhaven Fisherman

"Here is a picture of myself in front of  No. 17 Annfield Street in 1953. I was dressed up as a Newhaven fisherman and participated in a Pageant for the visit of newly-crowned Queen Elizabeth II (ahem, Queen Elizabeth I of Scotland!).

Part of the event was a re-enactment of the landing of Mary, Queen of Scots at Newhaven Harbour."
